提高划船技能的5个步骤

1. GET STABLE  保持稳定性

I can hear chuckles and smirks already. Easier said thandone I hear you say.  This may come as a surprise to you, but stabilityissues will remain with you forever, whether you’re starting out or winning theWorld Championship.  Yes, that’s right, being stable is an issue even thebest have to deal with.  
提到保持稳定性,我知道你会笑着说:说说容易,做做难。然而,稳定性的问题将一直陪伴着每个划手,无论是你是新手,还是世界冠军。保持稳定性是最重要的一个事情。

The secret here is to approach it in a pragmatic andprogressive manner.  There are certain things you can do that willimmediately make you stable, for instance: play with and then know your leglength.  Too short and you’ll be unstable, too long and you’ll beunstable.  Find just the right setting and then keep it.  Anotherexample will be to focus on using the paddle to balance no matter what, insteadof your hand. Do drills in the shallows where you use the paddle to brace andstabilise yourself.

Then there is also the much quoted and much ignoredadage of: Never sacrifice stability for speed.  When you invest in yourfirst surfski rather buy a surfski that is more stable and less fast than theother way around.

When you approach it in a progressive manner you know thatfinding balance happens over time and gets better over time.

2. THINK TECHNIQUE  思考的技能

Don’t just paddle, be aware of your technique; thinkabout it.  An effective technique will catapult your paddling ability tothe next level…actually, you may even skip a level altogether!  It’s veryimportant to always remain aware of what your paddles are doing in the waterand how the movement of your body effects what the paddle does.  Techniqueis something you’ll be working on forever as it can always improve.  Byhaving acontinualawareness of how youcan improve, you will launch your paddling ability.  Always think of yourtechnique.
不要无脑划船,而要带着思考去划。一种有效的技能使你的划船水平提升到一个新的层次。甚至可能使你直接跳过一个层次!很重要的是你要一直意识到你的桨在水里是怎么个情况,你的身体运动对桨的运动产生了什么影响。所谓技能,就是你在划船过程中要永远伴随并且能一直不断改进的东西。只要不断地意识到你如何能改进划船技巧,那么你的划船水平就能得到提升。一定要不断地去思考你的技能。

3. WAVE PLAY  玩浪

To me, playing in small sized waves is one of thesecrets of building your confidence in your ski and also radically improvingyour balance, skill and confidence.  Small waves mean that you aren’tnervous because the waves are intimidating.  They are also easier to catchand the wipeouts are much less severe.  By spending time in the surf youalso learn about the waves, the impact zone and of course the critical skill ofcatching a wave, which you will need for downwind paddling.  Catching andsurfing small waves is one of the best ways to improve your paddling ability.
对我来说,在小一点的浪里玩冲浪艇,能树立自信并改善稳定性、技术以及信心。小浪没有危险性,所以你不会紧张,而且小浪容易追,即使失败也问题不大。在浪里呆的时间长了,你就会了解浪,它的碰撞区域以及如何追浪的重要技巧,这些都是你在顺风划船时要用到的。所以说,在小浪里追浪并冲浪是能改善你划船技术最好的方法之一。

4. PULL YOUR WEIGHT  岸上运动

There are a number of off the water exercises you can dothat will improve your ability to paddle.  These are all “body weight”exercises where you are required to push and pull yourself.  These are theclassics:  pull ups (or chins), push ups, sit ups, dips, lunges and squats. You don’t have to spend hours doing them and can do sufficientamounts in 10 minutes.  Pick a round number, like say 50 of each, andstart there building the total amount you can do.  These exercises makeyou strong and also work your stabilisers.
有很多岸上运动能帮你改进划船水平。这些都是涉及到你身体重量的运动,需要你推拉自己。比如这些比较经典的运动:引体向上,俯卧撑,仰卧起坐,撑体,弓步,下蹲起立。你不用花很多时间在这些运动上,只需10分钟即可。次数选个整数,比如:每种运动做50个,做完即可。这些运动会让你变强壮,并且对你的稳定性也有帮助。

5. PICK A TARGET  定个目标

One of the best ways to improve your paddling is throughracing.  What you do here is pick the person or persons that are alwaysjust ahead of you or mostly next to you.  Then…try to punish them every time you go paddling! Ok maybe not every time as you still want friends after you’ve gonepaddling, but a good forum for this is in a time trial or short weekly race.The nice thing about a time trial is that you can also use your “time” as atarget and aim at improving that.
能改进你划船水平的最好方法之一是参加比赛。你可以选总是划得比你快或差不多的一个或几个人。接下来,你要想办法打败他们。当然喽,不是要你每次都打败他们,毕竟你还是要和他们做朋友,是吧?最好是做时间测试或每周一次的短途比赛。来进行时间测试的好处是你能把时间当作一个目标去实现并改进。
